Ham King

Me (going over an old lesson of Christian's that asked him to name things he hates to see thrown away): "Christian, did you really write that one thing you hate to see thrown away is ham?"

Christian (through peals of laughter): "I just hate to see ham go to waste!"

Yesterday Christian went with Adam and Justin to a concert at the library. It was to kick off the "teen" summer reading program. He had a good time.

While he was there Jeannine and the girls came over and we scrapbooked. Her girls are so creative! Her youngest sat down on the floor with her paper, pictures and scissors and just went to town. Her oldest knew what she wanted, but needed some help with the tools. Her middle one was very deliberate in what she was doing, and checked and double checked to make sure things were just right before she glued anything.

Alex and Ethan played PS2 while we scraped.

Tomorrow they are having a magic show to kick off the younger kids summer reading program. We are planning to go (as long as Marty is home from his meeting in time.) Jeannine and Roslynn are also planning to go.

Marty is off tomorrow, Tuesday and Wednesday. He has a meeting tomorrow morning, but that's ok because it will give us a chance to get school done. We are starting A History of Us and Trail Guide to US Geography tomorrow. I still need to sit down with Train Guide and figure out how I am going to do this. I was going to do that after the boys went to bed tonight but silly me, there is a game on. I would probably be in bed by now if it weren't for the game. The Pistons are winning, so I will let it slide... this time. I think I am going to send them to watch it in my room while I work out here.
